About Craig Colquhoun
Craig first melted glass in 1980 as a trainee artist glassblower in North Tyneside, and has devoted his career to mastering the craft. Over 40 years later, he is recognised as a world-renowned glass artist, with a distinctive style that has seen him commissioned for projects across the globe.
Highlights of Craig’s career include:
- Creating glass sculptures for icons such as Sir Bobby Robson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Charlton and Alan Shearer.
- Recreating entire sporting venues in glass, from St James’ Park to the Kentucky Derby stadium at Churchill Downs.
- Commissions for royalty and world leaders, including HRH Princess Diana, HRH Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Sheikh Mohammed of Dubai.
- Major projects unveiled internationally, such as the Nuveen Masters Tennis stadium and the Dubai World Cup racetrack at Meydan.
